Apaches split on final day of Kruse Kickoff Classic

The Tyler Junior College Apaches volleyball team split their two matches on Saturday in Brenham, Texas on the campus of Blinn College.  Tyler dropped their first three matches on Thursday and Friday to Daytona State College(FL), Odessa College and #2 Miami-Dade College(FL).  On the third day of action the Apaches would open up with a hard fought win over North Central Texas College in straight sets, 30-28, 27-25 and 25-19.  In their last match of the weekend, #15 New Mexico Junior College defeated the Apaches 25-16, 25-20 and 25-20 in another gritty performance by Tyler.  Next up for the Apaches is their first home match of the 2024 season as they open up Region 14 play against the #20 Navarro College Bulldogs at 6:00 pm at Wagstaff Gym on the campus of Tyler Junior College.
