Monica Bottley named All-America Honorable Mention

TYLER, Texas - Tyler Junior College sophomore point guard Monica Bottley, a 5-foot-4 standout from Silsbee, Texas, earned NJCAA All-America honorable mention honors after leading the Apaches with 18.0 points per game while starting all 31 contests.

Bottley shot 43.1% from the field, 35.8% from 3-point range and 76.6% from the free-throw line, while also averaging 3.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game, anchoring the TJC offense as both a primary scorer and facilitator throughout the season.

Bottley's selection marks head coach Trenia Tillis-Hoards' first All-American honoree since Fanta Kone in 2022.

Bottley' helped guide Tyler Junior College to a 21-11 overall record and a berth in the Region XIV Tournament semifinals.
