Apache Ladies Head to Baytown, Will Face Paris

The postseason begins Wednesday night for the Tyler Junior College women's basketball team as the Apaches open play in the Region XIV Women's Basketball Tournament against Paris Junior College. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. in Baytown, Texas.

Tyler enters the matchup with momentum against the Dragons, having swept the regular-season series 2–0. The Apaches earned a high-scoring 99–84 victory in the first meeting on January 10 at home before grinding out a 69–62 overtime win on the road in the rematch at Paris.

The teams are no strangers to meeting in the postseason. One year ago in Baytown, Tyler opened the Region XIV tournament with a convincing 77–56 win over Paris, advancing past the Dragons in the opening round.
