TYLER, Texas — The Tyler Junior College men's soccer team capped off an undefeated run through Region 14, defeating Angelina College 1–0 on Friday to capture the Region 14 Tournament championship and secure its spot in the NJCAA National Championship in Daytona, Florida.
The Apaches, now 16-0-1 overall and 12-0 in conference play, controlled the match from start to finish, outshooting Angelina 19–4. Keiquon Aaron scored the decisive goal in the 27th minute off an assist from Axel Ruben, giving TJC all it needed to seal the win.
Goalkeeper Joe Pollard recorded the shutout with four saves, anchoring a defensive unit that didn't allow a single goal in the tournament.
With the victory, the Apaches continue their dominant season and will now turn their attention to the NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer National Championship, set to take place later this month in Daytona Beach, Florida.
