JACKSONVILLE, Texas – Knox Hix scored twice as the Tyler Junior College men's soccer team blanked Jacksonville College, 5-0, on Tuesday, Sept. 23.
The Apaches improved to 6-0-1 overall and 6-0-0 in conference play. The Jaguars dropped to 2-7-2 on the season and 1-3-0 in league action.
Sophomore Elias Taj opened the scoring in the 37th minute, notching his team-leading fifth goal of the season.
Hix added a pair of late goals in the 85th and 88th minutes to seal the win — the fourth straight shutout for the Apaches.
