Apaches Offense Stays Hot, Take Game One Against Bossier Parish
TYLER, Texas (AP) — Tyler Junior College scored early and often in a 12-2 victory over Bossier Parish Community College on Tuesday at Mike Carter Field.
Tyler (26-17, 12-10) plated two runs in the first inning and added four more in the second to take control. The Apaches continued to build the lead with single runs in the third and fifth innings before putting the game away with a three-run sixth.
Bossier Parish (26-18, 11-14) scored both of its runs in the third inning but managed just four hits and committed two errors.
Tyler finished with 12 runs on 12 hits and did not commit an error. Bossier Parish totaled two runs on four hits.
Micah Roberts led Tyler with four RBIs, while Landry Stamps added three RBIs. Davis Perkins, Reid Graham, and Chase Fuentes also drove in runs for the Apaches.
Jackson Jordan earned the win on the mound for Tyler, allowing two runs on four hits over six innings while striking out three and walking three.
Brody Bower took the loss for Bossier Parish, allowing seven runs on eight hits in three innings.
Tyler recorded multiple extra-base hits, including doubles from Perkins, Stamps, Roberts, and Graham.
