Stamps’ Big Day Lifts Apaches Over No. 23 Weatherford

TYLER, Texas – Tyler Junior College used a pair of big innings to power past No.23 Weatherford College, 7–2, on April 13 at Mike Carter Field.

TJC (25-17) broke the game open in the third inning, scoring three runs, highlighted by a bases-clearing triple from Landry Stamps that drove in four runs on the day. The Apaches added insurance in the seventh with a four-run frame to put the game out of reach.

James Raecek led the offense at the top of the lineup, going 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI, while Anthony Martinez added two hits. Reid Graham chipped in with an RBI and a double as TJC finished with six hits but capitalized on seven walks.

On the mound, Nathan Parker earned the win in relief, tossing 2.1 scoreless innings while allowing just one hit. The Apaches used a seven-man pitching staff to limit Weatherford to two runs on six hits, striking out six.

TJC's pitching staff worked around six walks and kept Weatherford off the board until the seventh inning, maintaining control throughout the afternoon.
