Apaches Split Weekend at LSU-E with Strong Performances and Tough Losses

Crowley, LA – The Apaches traveled to Louisiana State University-Eunice to face the #9 LSU-E Bengals and the Kellogg Bruins. The Apaches finished the weekend with a split, recording 2 wins and 2 losses.

The Apaches started strong with an 8-5 victory over the Bruins. However, heartbreak struck in the second game of the weekend against the #9-ranked Bengals. The Apaches were leading 3-0 heading into the bottom of the ninth, but LSU-E managed to hit a walk-off grand slam, defeating the Apaches. Despite the tough loss, the Apaches bounced back to end the day on a high note, defeating the Bruins 13-2 in the second game of their doubleheader.

On Sunday, the Apaches finished the weekend with a tough 11-1 loss to the Bengals.

  • Nico Ruedas (SS): Nico was a major contributor both offensively and defensively.
